The Good News
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation…” Mark 16:15

Jesus’ final words command us to take the good news of His death, burial and resurrection to everyone. It is our prayer that this commandment stir within us compassion for a lost world in need of a savior. God has given the Raleigh Church of Christ the opportunity to teach locally and to support mission works abroad. Our hope is that we can help sow the seed and encourage its growth as God gives the increase.

Honduras Honduras – Evangelistic and humanitarian outreach is centered around the Amacuapa Valley of the Department of Olancho in rural eastern Honduras. Nine congregations have been established to date among the remote villages near the Telica river. Humanitarian projects include the operation of a medical clinic, a group gardening project, the installation of a well with irrigation system, building beds for children, and the distribution of clothing and shoes. Life is often difficult in rural Honduras, but the hearts of people are warm, loving, and hungry for the word of God. Brazil Brazil – Igreja de Cristo O Salvador, or Church of Christ The Savior, is a new church plant in the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. ICOS was started by a North American mission team composed of five families trained by Continent of Great Cities. The Raleigh Church of Christ provides some support to Russell and Valerie Quirey, who have been in Salvador since March of 2005. Valerie is the granddaughter of one of our members and her father is a preacher in Canada. Read more about the work in Brazil.
Thailand Thailand – The Chiang Mai area of Thailand is home to a missionary outreach of the Lord’s church that has diligently spread the Gospel throughout North and Central Thailand for decades. Several congregations have grown out of this work and a Preacher Training program equips men to spread the Word even further. The Raleigh Church of Christ is one of many congregations that provides support to this great work. Brother Traw’s daughter and her family are members of our congregation.
