Thanksgiving 2022

Nov 20, 2022 — Elisha Freeman  Feeling grateful but not expressing it is like wrapping a present but never giving. (William Arthur Ward) This week begins the thanksgiving holiday. Many of us are planning for family and friends, we are planning menus and schedules, and will be busy. Among the the hustle, we will pause and give thanks to God and count our blessings. One blessing we need to have at the top of the list in which we are thankful is the people God has brought into our life. Our lesson this morning comes from 2 Corinthians 8:16-24 where the Apostle Paul stops and expresses thanks to God for Titus.

We Agree on One Baptism

Nov 06, 2022 — Elisha Freeman    As we continue our series entitled ‘We agree’, we come to the subject of baptism. A subject that comes with many questions and some confusion. What is baptism? Why is it important? What does it accomplish? Is baptism worth giving time and attention? This morning we will seek out the answers to these questions as we focus on the ‘One baptism’ of the New Testament.

Would Anyone Miss It?

Oct 23, 2022 – Charlie Vasquez — The Great Commission says to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. While we hear and talk about the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit is often neglected. Who is the Holy Spirit, where do we see him, and what does He do? Does the Holy Spirit impact our church and lives today?

Meditations on Raleigh

Oct 16, 2022 — Elisha Freeman  Our city was shaken with the tragedy that took place on Thursday. Familiar feelings of breaking hearts, anxiousness, fear, disappointment, and anger were produced. As followers of Christ, how do we respond? What do we say? Where is God? These and so many other questions flood our mind. This morning let’s meditate on God’s Word and on our city.

We Agree on One Word

Oct 02, 2022  Elisha Freeman — This morning we embark on a three month series that is entitled ‘We Agree”. Unity among Christians in the local church is essential and vital. Unity was of such great importance that in John 17, Jesus prays for it. What exactly are we to have unity on? On what things must we agree? This morning we start the journey by focusing on God’s word that is known as the Bible.

House Rules: Serve

Sept 18, 2022 Elisha Freeman – In the New Testament, Christians are known by many designations. Christians are called disciples, children of God, and saints among a host of other names. There is one designation that each Christian must be called and must prove with their life and that is designation ‘servant’. This morning with our last house rule, we take a look at Jesus and how He sets the emphasis, example, and expectation that each Christian is to be a servant.
