Uncomfortable: Baptism
Aug 18, 2024 Elisha Freeman — C.S. Lewis once said, ‘I did not go to religion to make me happy. I always knew a bottle of Port wold do that. If you want religion to make you feel really comfortable, I certainly don’t recommend Christianity.’ How could a religion rooted in the love of God make us feel uncomfortable? It is because Christianity requires us to deny ourselves. This morning we will explore the first real test of this self denial and that is the command of Jesus for us to be immersed [baptized] in water.
