House Rules: Welcome One Another

Sep 11, 2022 — Elisha Freeman  The Lord is adding to our family and for that we are thankful. God’s plan for the local church is to be in unity with one another but not to be in uniformity. How do we approach one another to ensure that no matter what we see or experience, everyone knows their welcome in God’s house? This is our question to explore and allow the Bible to answer in our quest to become God’s house that builds each other up.

Divergent: Learning to Be Different from the Sermon on the Mount

Jun 12, 2022  Elisha Freeman — What are the most quoted Bible verses from people? Did you know that ‘Judge not’ is in the top five of most lists and polls conducted. This statement made by Jesus has been used to extremeness. Some use it to eliminate all judgment and free themselves from correction offered in love and truth others have used to discredit the Bible in some places citing ‘contradiction’. What does Jesus actually mean with this statement and how can we learn to be different when it comes to exercising judgment?

He is Alive Easter 2022

Apr 17, 2022  Elisha Freeman — It has been at least two weeks since Jesus has been resurrected and Peter has not had an opportunity to speak with him. Does this mean Jesus is done with Peter? Can Peter return from his denial of Jesus when he was arrested? Does this mean the things that Jesus promised Peter in Matthew 16:15-18 are now going to someone else? Is there any hope for Peter? This morning we will read through the third resurrection appearance to answer our questions.

A Crossed Shaped People: Sacrifice

If we are going to follow Jesus then a cross is the path. How can we become a cross shaped people? This morning we will explore this question and have Jesus’ answer challenge us.

What kind of King?

This description is powerful picture of the role of Jesus prior to His birth, at His birth, and for the rest of time. This description also begs the question, what kind of King is Jesus? This morning we will seek to answer this question and how we can follow in His footsteps.

 

Grace Poured Out: Moses

Harris) This morning we continue with our series God’s grace poured out when we fail and fall short of His ideal and ours. What happens when our failure is not new, rather it is a repeat of a previous failure. What happens when we fail to learn rom history? Is God’s grace there to meet us and help us when we did not learn our lesson? This morning we will discover the answer to this probing question.
