Dale Jenkins – This morning we are going to wrestle with bold questions: What if the secret to church health and growth isn’t a new program, a new method, or a new strategy—but a new mindset? What if the real breakthrough doesn’t start on a calendar or in a committee, but in the way we think about the future for this church? And what if changing that mindset could change everything?

Uncomfortable: Uncomfortable Mind Set

Sep 1, 2024  Elisha Freeman – What is the first step in the new life given to us by God in baptism? More often than not, the authors of the NT start with a discussion of our mind and what our current focus may be. This morning we will look at a passage that will make us uncomfortable by challenging the current condition and focus of our minds.

Living the Word: On to Maturity

May 07, 2023  Elisha Freeman — Maya Angelou once said, ‘Most people don’t grow up, most people age. They find parking spaces, honor their credit cards, get married, have children, and call that maturity. What that is, is aging.’ God’s plan for the disciple of Jesus is grow and too mature. The same plan exists for a local church. Yet, why do many of us age in the faith but not mature? Our passage this morning provides us a warning in staying immature as well as offers ways for us to fulfill God’s expectation of growth.

Living the Word: Old to New

Apr 16, 2o23 — Elisha Freeman  The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus are the cornerstone elements of the Gospel. Jesus dies for our sin to offer the opportunity of forgiveness and is resurrected to provide hope and victory. However, the Gospel is more than a feel good story. The Gospel is God’s good news of life. Life in the present and in the future. The New Testament describes life in the present as ‘new life’. What is this new life? This morning we will turn to Ephesians 4:17-24 for our answers and our challenge to live this new life to the glory of God.

Living the Word (RCC Theme for 2023)

Jan 08, 2023 — Elisha Freeman  This morning we embark on a journey to many things. Individually, we have made resolutions with the hopes our spiritual life will be richer and full of meaning. As a congregation, we want to build off the great work that God did among us last year. How will both be accomplished? What is needed to ensure that this year can be the most productive year possible? These questions and more will be our focus during the sermon this morning.

Anxiety

Feb 07, 2021 — Elisha Freeman — What would you say was the most searched & underlined passage of the Bible in 2020? According to Amazon Kindle, it was Philippians 4:6-7. Anxiety/Worry/Concern impacts all of us. In our lesson this morning, we will break open this passage and learn what we can do as people of faith to manage anxiety.

Running for Your Life: Training for the Race

Jun 02, 2019 — Elisha Freeman —

Every athlete trains to best at their sport. The success we see from the athletes is built during their training sessions that no one else sees. The same is true for the Christian. We run the race “set before us” successfully by following a certain training regimen. This morning our focus will be on our day-to-day training and how it helps us run our race of faith.
