Living the Word: On to Maturity

May 07, 2023  Elisha Freeman — Maya Angelou once said, ‘Most people don’t grow up, most people age. They find parking spaces, honor their credit cards, get married, have children, and call that maturity. What that is, is aging.’ God’s plan for the disciple of Jesus is grow and too mature. The same plan exists for a local church. Yet, why do many of us age in the faith but not mature? Our passage this morning provides us a warning in staying immature as well as offers ways for us to fulfill God’s expectation of growth.
