Many of us know this feeling and reality very well as we battle hopelessness as a constant companion. The resurrection of Jesus reminds us that while the believer battles hopelessness there is not such thing as having no hope. Easter is about the revival of hope.

When all the people woke up on the first Sunday after Jesus’ death & burial, what do you think their expectations for that day were? What are your expectations for today? Many of us little to no expectations, not because we do not believe, but because there are other things in the way. These things make us feel “stuck”. This morning we are going to be reminded that the Resurrection of Jesus overcomes our lowest expectations and empowers us to move forward with our lives
