Oct 11, 2020 — Elisha Freeman — We are a little over twenty days from November 3, the day we vote for President and other Government leaders. These elections are dominating the airwaves and for some of us they are dominating our hearts, minds, and conversations. It is easy to caught up in the worry, fear, and unknowns of the elections. Isaiah the Prophet experienced these and more. This morning we are going to see from him how God kept him grounded and how we can stay grounded too.
Aug 16, 2020 – Elisha Freeman – Two weeks ago we started a 2-part series on Lessons from the Kings. Our first lesson came from Solomon, Rehoboam, and Jeroboam and we learned from them how to lose a kingdom. Today’s lesson brings to the stage, King Hezekiah. From him, we learn how to build a kingdom.
03/29/2020 – Elisha Freeman – Our lives have been turned upside down with the Corona Virus. Many of us are fearful, worried, and frustrated. In Luke 1:26ff we will read of Mary, the mother of Jesus, have her world turned upside down. It is how the Angel Gabriel responds that catches our attention. It is here that we learn that we don’t have to be afraid, that nothing is impossible with God, and that despite what is happening we can still serve.
Mar 08, 2020 – Elisha Freeman – The Book of Proverbs has over 30 references to money, riches, and wealth. Needless to say, an important topic to the writers of the Proverbs is wealth and our approach to it. This morning we will sit at the feet of these authors and gain wisdom so that we can develop into prudent people when it comes to the money God entrusts to us.
Jan 26, 2020 – Elisha Freeman — The nation of Israel has been set free by Pharaoh. God has taken charge to lead His people out of slavery into freedom. In an unusual twist to the narrative, God brings Israel to the wilderness that extends towards the Red Sea. Here, Israel will learn valuable lessons, that if applied, will strengthen their faith. The same can be said for us. This morning we will join Israel and learn in the wilderness.
